als ich vor rund 10 jahren begann, meine handarbeiten unter meinem eigenen label „il melo“ herzustellen, waren diese patchwork blankets die ersten werke, die den neuen namen auf der etikette trugen. jede einzelne decke wird in je ca. 60 stunden reiner handarbeit von mir selbst angefertigt. jede davon ist ein absolutes unikat, fast ausschliesslich aus restbeständen von wollgarnen gehäkelt. je nach vorrätigen farben und garnstärken ordne ich die 64 für ein blanket benötigten squares kunterbunt gemischt an oder füge sie zu symmetrischen mustern und allenfalls ton in ton zusammen. erst wenn sich ein harmonisches ganzes ergibt, werden sie zusammengehäkelt, mit einer ebenfalls gehäkelten bordüre versehen und zum schluss auf der rückseite mit wärmendem fleece in einem passenden farbton gefüttert.
mit den massen 80×80 cm haben diese fröhlichen patchwork blankets die richtige grösse für eine babywiege oder einen kinderwagen. jedem blanket liegt eine genaue wasch- und pflegeanleitung bei. bei sachgerechtem umgang damit überdauern die blankets jahrzehnte und können von einer generation an die nächste weitergegeben werden.
when I started to produce my needlework under my own label „il melo“ about ten years ago, these patchwork blankets were the first to bear the new name on their label. each blanket is handmade by myself in about 60 hours of work. each one is absolutely unique, crocheted mostly from leftover wool yarns. depending on the colours and yarn sizes in stock, I arrange the 64 squares needed for a blanket in a colourful way or I combine them into symmetrical patterns and possibly tone in tone. only when the resulting picture is harmonious they are crocheted together, provided with an equally crocheted border and finally lined on the back with warming fleece in a matching colour.
measuring 80×80 cm, these cheerful patchwork blankets are just the right size for a baby cradle or a pram. each blanket comes with detailed washing and care instructions. if handled with care the blankets will last for decades and can be passed on from one generation to the next.
quando circa 10 anni fa ho iniziato a produrre i miei lavori a mano sotto il mio proprio label „il melo“, queste coperte patchwork sono state le prime a riportare il nuovo nome sulla loro etichetta. ogni coperta è fatta a mano da me in circa 60 ore di lavoro. ognuna di esse è assolutamente unica, lavorata all’uncinetto quasi esclusivamente con gli avanzi di filati di lana. a seconda dei colori e delle dimensioni del filato in stock, dispongo i 64 quadrati necessari per una coperta in modo multicolore o li combino in disegni simmetrici e possibilmente tono su tono. solo quando si crea un insieme armonioso, vengono uniti all’uncinetto. infine ogni coperta viene provvista di un bordo all’uncinetto e foderata sul retro con pile riscaldante in un colore coordinato.
con le dimensioni di 80×80 cm, queste coperte patchwork dal disegno allegro sono della misura giusta per una culla o una carrozzina. ogni coperta viene fornita di istruzioni dettagliate per il lavaggio e la cura. se maneggiate adeguatamente le coperte dureranno per decenni e possono essere tramandate da una generazione all’altra.
