zu meinen stillleben regt mich die pure freude über die eigenwillig schönen gaben der natur an. es stimmt mich froh, sie zu immer wieder neuen, ein wenig anderen arrangements zusammenzufügen, diese bei unterschiedlichen lichtverhältnissen und aus verschiedenen blickwinkeln zu fotografieren und die skizzen anzufertigen, die der schliesslich ausgewählten komposition zugrunde liegen. während der stunden, die ich mit der ausführung der endgültigen fassung verbringe, fliesst mit jedem der tausenden von behutsam gesetzten pinselstrichen und -tupfern auch etwas von meiner nie versiegenden sehnsucht nach dem süden in das stillleben hinein.
das zitronen-stillleben ist in öl auf holz gemalt, die anderen in öl auf canvas pads, die ich nach der fertigstellung auf faserplatten aufziehe. die masse und das entstehungsjahr des jeweiliges bildes finden sich im dateinamen (2012_oil_on_canvas_30x39.jpg). einfach auf das bild klicken.
I am inspired to my still lifes by the pure joy of the waywardly beautiful gifts of nature. it makes me happy to combine them into ever new slightly modified arrangements, to photograph them under changing light conditions and from different angles and to make the sketches that form the basis of the composition that I finally select. during the hours I spend on the final version, some of my never-ending longing for the south flows into the still life with each of the thousands of brushstrokes I carefully place.

le mie nature morte sono ispirate dalla pura gioia dei doni capricciosamente belli della natura. mi rende felice combinarli in composizioni sempre nuove, leggermente modificate, fotografarle in condizioni di luce differenti e da diverse angolazioni e realizzare gli schizzi che sono alla base della composizione infine selezionata. durante le ore che trascorro sulla versione finale, con ognuna delle migliaia di pennellate collocate con cura, parte della mia infinita nostalgia per il sud confluisce nel dipinto.
